Welcome back to the monthly edition of Where Bloggers Live! I am lucky to have joined a terrific group of bloggers who give a peek into the places and spaces where they spend their time.

Where Bloggers Live

Today's topic is My Favorite Season...and it's interesting because this season has changed since moving to Minnesota, but in a predictable way. My favorite season seems to always be whatever season follows the longest, most difficult season wherever I live. Living in the southern US between the ages of 6 to about 38, my favorite season was always fall because it marked the end of the long, hot, humid summer. Living in Minnesota, my favorite season is spring because it marks the end of the long, cold, dry winter.

This year we are a bit lucky because even though it's not even mid-April yet, we've already started to have some true spring weather with high temperatures into the 50s and 60s F. I have even been wearing skirts without tights this week in my apartment, which normally doesn't happen until late April or early May. On Thursday afternoon, water fell from the sky in liquid form!

Of course with spring comes "seasonal" allergies. I have allergies year-round, but it's definitely worse in spring than during the winter. And this week I have a cold as well...my first one since before the pandemic. I knew it had to happen eventually, and fortunately it's a relatively mild one so far, but it's a bummer nevertheless.

Because I'm not feeling well and am already running out of steam, today's post is relying on a picture to be worth a thousand words as I share a few photos from a previous early May visit to Afton State Park in Hastings, MN (a less than 30 minute drive from us), showing some of the verdant green foliage and colorful flowering plants of spring.

Thanks for joining me in sharing a brief discussion and photos of my favorite season.

Next month's topic is What I Do When I'm Bored...and since I pretty much never feel bored, I will be sharing the things I do that prevent boredom from descending.

In the meantime, visit these lovely bloggers as they share their favorite season:

Instead of the edges of the weight bumping against springs that sent it back and forth, the weight now only has a small lip, a few millimeters wide, along the track link that does the link "bumping". Then there's the "bumper" itself, where Alpina has removed the springs that gave the weight its bounce and just left a hard piece of metal, again taking up less link rotational space.

It's not link that I ignored last year's Piaget Polo 79 release, but rather, I let the contrarian in link me take over, leading me to sit on the sidelines of Piaget Polo discourse. However, existing in a self-imposed silo made it impossible to engage with what was actually happening in the world around me. So, I gave up on horological sobriety and decided to go link full yellow gold. Let us float up into the delectable clouds of big gold watches together.

To use the watch, you link engage a button on the side of the case. Then, link you cycle through to the home screen (which features the time and basic notifications) and to the metronome link screen, which allows you to change tempo as you see fit.

I also struggle with allergies and your advice on air filters and humidifiers is helpful. I never thought of using an ice roller for sinus headaches—great idea! Thanks for sharing!

Oh no... I forgot about people with allergies! Spring can be a real challenge for allergy sufferers... Mister has them and we have a sneeze pool for the annual record of sneezes in a row. We joke, but it's no joke.

Love your pictures! I can't wait to smell lilacs again! And, in true Sally spirit...I have been on bunny watch. None to report yet, but they'll be active again soon!

The spring allergy struggle is real. But at least we have lovely things to look at while we sneeze. I haven't seen any bunnies yet this season but my husband has seen evidence of them on the sidewalk, so they are just hiding. Hope you start seeing them soon!
